Paving Replacement – this would be select sections of pavement where it is damaged enough (alligator pattern cracking) where it makes sense to cut out that piece of asphalt and replace it before it continues to break up.  This amounts to about 2,700 sf, which is 10% of our asphalt.  So not a lot, but select spots.  If you’ve seen the white line markings back in the alley, those are the areas that we’d consider having replaced.
Crack Repair – Hot tar crack repair filler into the large cracks (like the central drain low spot in the middle of the alley).  We have about 1,000 ft of crack fill based on our field estimate.  This would look like the typical roadway crack repair lines you can see on 154th just before you get to the light on Fryelands.
Seal Coat – Application of 2-3 coats of seal coating over the new and existing asphalt as the last step.  This would help seal up smaller micro cracks, protect the asphalt, and provide a bit more consistent dark color between the new and existing asphalt (not perfect, but less contrast).  Sealing would be done after some power washing and cleaning of the asphalt surface by the contractor.
